Our leadership

Nancy Nager, MSN, RN, Founder

Nancy Nager is the founder of SBSC. Her long career in the healthcare industry includes a stint as Chief Operating Officer of Charles River Hospital, where she managed day-to-day operations. She served as a corporate consultant for the hospital’s parent company, Community Care Systems, Inc., working on a variety of special projects with the Board. From there, she founded Specialized Health Management, a company specializing in geriatric medical and behavioral services throughout New England, which formed the beginning of SBSC.

Nancy serves as the President-Elect of The Boston Club for Executive Women, she is an active member of the Massachusetts Association of Mental Health and the Healthcare Business Management Association, and she is a licensed nursing home administrator. She has her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and her Master of Science degree in Psychiatric Nursing from Boston University.

James Woods, Chief Financial Officer

Jim joined SBSC as the its Chief Financial Officer in 2007. He began his career in public accounting and became a Certified Public Accountant and subsequently held senior financial and executive positions in customer focused, domestic and international businesses in a variety of industries.

Jim has extensive experience in accounting, financial analysis, credit and collection, risk management, information technology systems, billing and administration, and human resources. Jim received his Bachelor of Science in Management from Suffolk University in Boston, MA, and his Master of Science in Accounting from Northeastern University.

Jayne Kim, VP of Client Success

Jayne began her career as a clinical dietitian within major academic medical centers in Boston and New York City. After graduate school, she joined the healthcare consulting group at Peat Marwick and later PricewaterhouseCoopers, providing financial, operational and strategic advisory services to hospital clients.

Jayne has over 20 years of healthcare and executive level search management experience. She has extensive project management and client relationship skills, and brings a focused and efficient approach to solving problems for clients. Jayne is adept with client consultation, coaching and mentoring. Jayne received a Bachelor of Science from the University of Vermont in Dietetics and a Master of Public Health in Healthcare Administration from Columbia University.

Mark Mosk, PhD, VP Client Strategy & Development

Mark is leading SBSC’s client advisory services that include performance management, process improvement, clinical protocols and service delivery, outcomes measurement, and organizational and human capital optimization to assist clients achieve operational excellence, enhance revenue and increase profitability.

Mark has extensive experience working with private and public sector healthcare and managed care companies for over 30 years in senior leadership positions. Mark trained at UCLA and received his doctorate in psychology from Western University in London, Canada. Mark’s research work and thought leadership articles have been published in various books and professional journals, and he is a licensed psychologist in California and Illinois.

Philip Gottlieb, MD, Senior Consultant

Dr. Gottlieb is a board-certified psychiatrist and neurologist in both adolescent and adult practice. His expertise in medical legal issues has been an invaluable contribution to SBSC clients. Dr. Gottlieb brings clinical field experience to the company and acts as an advisor within the management team. He is a resource to our clients, bringing wide-ranging clinical experience and peer relationships to the company.

Dr. Gottlieb was trained at Tuft’s New England Medical Center, the Boston Psychoanalytical Institute and the Boston Veteran’s Hospital. He belongs to the American Psychiatric Association, the American Psychoanalytical Association and the Massachusetts Psychiatric Society. He is also a published author, with multiple articles in various medical journals.

Blair MacLachlan, MSW, Senior Consultant

Blair is an accomplished healthcare manager with 30+ years of administrative and clinical experience in the provision of full spectrum of psychiatric and substance abuse services. Areas of expertise include: strategic planning and business development; provider network development; financial/data analysis and reimbursement modeling; man- aged-care contract negotiations; and optimization of organizational capacity and processes.

Blair assists SBSC clients ranging from hospitals, integrated delivery systems and managed care companies with clinical operations management and managed care contracting. Prior to SBSC, Blair created a state-wide provider network including provider selection, credentialing and contracting for a provider-sponsored behavioral health managed care/utilization management company. He also served as Executive Director of a provider-hospital organization (PHO) and held director positions at behavioral health services, managing care for public, governmental and private payers.

Blair holds a Masters in Social Work (MSW) from the University of Connecticut School of Social Work, a BA from the University of Hartford and is a trained provider of clinical services.
